Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

At Orlando Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinic, we use the latest available technology to aid accurate diagnosis and management of our patients. The advent of musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology has advanced the capabilities of rheumatologists to diagnose various types of arthritis accurately and to perform diagnostic aspirations and therapeutic injections into the joints, bursae, and other locations with more precision. Injections under ultrasound guidance have been shown to be more accurate and more effective than when performed without any guidance. Orlando Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinic is one of the very few rheumatology clinics in the entire city of Orlando where this service is offered.

Dr. Bansal is certified in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound by the American College of Rheumatology (RhMSUS). He is skilled in performing several ultrasound procedures including for diagnosis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, pseudogout, bursitis, tendinitis, rotator cuff disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, ganglion cysts, etc) and for ultrasound-guided injections for various arthritic conditions into joints (Hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, feet, ankles, knees and hips) and for other conditions such as bursitis, tendinitis, trigger fingers, carpal tunnel syndrome and ganglion cysts.
